RROPI, the Rascoe Rite of Passage Initiative, was founded by Michael Rascoe, a foster care survivor who built this organization from personal experience, not a boardroom. For six years, every dollar spent came out of his own pocket.
We believe every young person deserves to walk across that stage, show up to prom, wear a suit to their interview, and get their driver’s license just like everyone else. We make that happen directly and personally with zero bureaucracy.
These are not statistics. These are real young people whose lives changed because someone showed up at the right moment.
A Suit and a Tie
A young man landed a scholarship interview but had nothing to wear. RROPI got him fitted, and Michael personally taught him to tie a tie.
She Went to Prom
For the first time, a young girl in a group home felt like every other teenager in her school because RROPI paid for her ticket, dress, and corsage.
Behind the Wheel
A youth aging out of care needed a driver's license for work. RROPI covered the permit fees and insurance so he could move forward.
First Day, Best Dressed
RROPI took a group of foster youth back to school shopping, head to toe, so they started the year feeling confident and ready.
Our Impact
Every Dollar. Every Child. Every Milestone.
Since day one, every dollar raised by RROPI has gone directly to a specific child for a specific need. No administrative layers. No institutional middlemen. Just real impact you can see and measure.

Ready to Change a Life?
Your donation does not go to a general fund. It goes to a specific kid, for a specific need, at a specific moment in their life. No fluff. No overhead. Just impact.
Read firsthand stories from the youth we serve, the community partners who make it possible, and the founder who lived it himself. Every post is a window into what direct giving really looks like.
